Hyundai Hope on Wheels Makes It Easy to Support Childhood Cancer Research
In 1998, Hyundai Motors started the 501(c)(3) non-profit Hyundai Hope on Wheels with one critical mission in mind. To support the ongoing fight against pediatric cancer through funding research and public awareness.
As of 2026, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has raised over $300 million for childhood cancer research and continues to ramp up its efforts. Supported by Hyundai’s network of over 850 dealers, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has helped save over 40,000 kids.
Part of its success in this noble effort is how easy it is for people to lend their support.
For example, during the month of September, anyone who uses the Strava App can donate to Hyundai Hope on Wheels by simply working out.
Hyundai Miles for Warriors Challenge
During the month of September, anyone can use the Strava App to join Hyundai’s Miles for Warriors Challenge. Whether you use the app to track your running, swimming, biking, hiking, or walking, every step can count towards children’s cancer research.
The original goal of the Miles for Warriors Challenge was to reach 400,000 collective miles. That 400,000 represents the number of children diagnosed with cancer every year worldwide.
Hyundai pledged to donate $1,000,000 if this goal was met, and participants reached the 400,000-mile goal within the first 24 hours. So, Hyundai decided to double down, asking for 800,000 miles and pledging $2,000,000. It took only 48 hours to meet the new goal. So far, participants have logged over 3.3 million miles.
At the time of this publication, there is still time to join the over 124,000 participants in the Hyundai Miles for Warriors Challenge. Every mile counts!

The cap is set at $500,000 and ends on December 31, 2026.

Learning About Hyundai Hope on Wheels, The Warriors Rallies
Summer ends where September begins. Unless you live in Texas where the temperature doesn’t drop when the leaves fall. It’s enough to make one grateful to be living in the same era as industrial air conditioning. September also marks the beginning of the NFL season.
Hyundai invited me to attend one of several Warriors Rallies hosted by Hyundai Hope on Wheels at NFL. This Warriors Rally took place at NRG Stadium before the season opening game between the Houston Texans and the Buffalo Bills.
At this Warriors Rally, I met Paul Imhoff, the current director of Hyundai Hope on Wheels and The Genesis Inspiration Foundation. He has been leading the charge since March 2025.
While speaking with him, I learned that he lost a child to cancer, so this isn’t just a job to Paul Imhoff – it’s personal. You can hear genuine, ambitious sincerity when he talks about the organization’s efforts to help save kids with cancer and the families fighting alongside them. “We’re putting cancer on notice. Tackling it head-on,” said Imhoff.
Hyundai Hope on Wheels donations help fund cancer research grants. These efforts include finding new treatments that could potentially replace current radiation methods. This year, Hyundai plans to donate $26,000,000 in grants towards cancer research.
The next Warriors Rally will be at the SoFi Stadium on October 12, 2026.
Hyundai Hope on Wheels New Campaign is The Mark of the Warrior
In September 2026, Hyundai Hope on Wheels launched a new campaign called The Mark of the Warrior inspired by the organization’s symbol of a blue handprint. This campaign centers around the little warriors fighting cancer. That’s the key word, fight. The children battling with cancer are literally fighting every day, and it takes incredible resilience, determination, and support.
The Mark of the Warrior recognizes their strength and turns them into the true warriors that they are in this cinematic 60-second film appropriately titled Little Warrior.
The Genesis Inspiration Foundation Encourages the Future Through the Arts
In addition to Hyundai Hope on Wheels, Genesis has started its own 501(c)(3) non-profit called The Genesis Inspiration Foundation. Founded in 2018, this organization aims to help children by supporting the arts. To date, The Genesis Inspiration Foundation has donated $16,000,000 to fund arts programs at museums, schools, and nonprofit cultural organizations.
Genesis is a luxury brand known for its inspired designs and attention to detail. All that creativity has to come from somewhere. An artist isn’t born an artist. It requires inspiration, which requires a spark of curiosity, and the opportunity to pursue it. The Genesis Inspiration Foundation’s goal is to give children that opportunity to discover and explore their potential.
